A class action was filed in Federal Court to stop illegal police stops in the City of Buffalo.

A settlement was reached, in which SPS agreed to pay the Town and set up a system for addressing zombie properties in the future.

This case was a Federal class action lawsuit filed against a foreclosure plaintiff law firm concerning the attorneys’ fees and costs the defendant charged in mortgage foreclosure actions. The complaint alleges that the defendant systematically and intentionally misrepresented and attempted to collect unreasonable and deceptive costs from homeowners for foreclosure-related services that were either exaggerated or did not happen at all. WNYLC’s co-counsel are the Bromberg Law Office, PC, and the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC). This case has been referred to a Magistrate Judge.
